Is there a way to sort a HTML column by its textual content and not the HTML code?

I have a "name" column, but the issue is the names are hyperlinked. This causes the column to incorrectly sort alphabetically according to their HTML href value and not the actual "name."

I've tried to show the situation below by showing some example field values (in HTML):

<p><a href="2.aspx">Page 1</a></p>   (this will display second, not first)
<p><a href="1.aspx">Page 2</a></p>   (this will display first, not second)

Any suggestinons would be appriciated!

The only workaraound I am aware of is to edit the HTML source:

<!--001--><p><a href="2.aspx">Page 1</a></p>
<!--002--><p><a href="1.aspx">Page 2</a></p>

Why don't you use the URL datatype?
