Hello everyone,I have a little problem with my instalation but and couldn't find it. I hope you can help me.,I followed the diferent steps to install DNN :

1) Create an Virtual Directory on IIS

2)Create/Config a Database :

In this step I have changed <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"  INTO <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename='C:\Documents and Settings\Administrateur\Mes documents\Visual Studio 2008\WebSites\DotNetNuke Website2\App_Data\Database.mdf';Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"

And <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"/> INTO <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename='C:\Documents and Settings\Administrateur\Mes documents\Visual Studio 2008\WebSites\DotNetNuke Website2\App_Data\Database.mdf';Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"/>

3) Configure NTFS file permission for DotNetNuke : but in this step I couldn't find the "Security Dialog" in " Security and Sharing"
And then, I start the Installation ( Ctrl+F5 ), But the installation process takes a lot of time to complete, it seems like it never ends.
Did I make any mistake?
Thank you !

Comming to Security Tab you should ask your admin abou it .

While Installing Select Custum / Typical . In next Wizard you will get  option  to test  Whether ur asp.net/netwerk service had rights to create read , Modify the folder . If the test fails it means you hadnt configured properly . similarly in next wizard you will get Connection Setting Wizard there you can test your connection Properties

Check Had you given Security ( Full PErmission ) for Asp.net and networkservice

hope this may help you

Arvind
