hi all

can i know why im using DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.FileSystemUtils.DeleteFile("file.txt"), it does not take any effect?
but i can upload file to this folder...

did you place the file in root folder?

The overload of FileSystemUtils.DeleteFile which you are using requires a full physical file path, not the file name alone. Also, note that this particular overload does NOT delete the file information from the DNN Files table. To both delete the file from the physical storage AND from the DNN Files table, you should use the following overload (also in FileSystemUtils):

Public Shared Function DeleteFile(ByVal strSourceFile As String, ByVal settings As PortalSettings) As String

Note that this method also requires a full physical file path. The return value will be an empty string if the deletion was successful or an error message (including exception information) if an error occured.
