Help... I have set DNN on my desktop, my personal laptop but for some reason i cant get it on my work laptop.  We do run it at work for one of our websites from a desktop.  When i do the http://localhost/DNN/install/install.aspx I get a page cant be displayed http 500 error.  I change the install.aspx to install.htm and i can see that. I can also see everything else in that folder except the aspx.  I have uninstalled everything and started over.  I have tried this on DNN 4.9 and DNN 5.0. Its almost like my system does not like .aspx.  Any Suggestions???

I would ensure that you have ASP.NET properly installed and configured on the machine.

What version of Windows is it using?

Try using the command prompt to get to: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
then run aspnet_regiis -r to reinstall .net

Also, make sure in IIS, you have the site set to use the newest version on the framework under the properties of the site, in the ASP.NET tab.
