Hello,

I'm using DNN 04.09.02. I try to localize (english - german) the DNN Captcha Control but it doesn't work.

<dnn:CaptchaControl ID="ctlCaptcha" CaptchaHeight="40" CaptchaWidth="150"
  ErrorStyle-CssClass="NormalRed" cssclass="Normal" runat="server"
  ResourceKey="ctlCaptcha" />

<data name="ctlCaptcha.Text" xml:space="preserve">
  <value>Enter the code shown above:</value>
</data>
<data name="ctlCaptcha.ErrorMessage" xml:space="preserve">
  <value>The typed code must match the image, please try again</value>
</data>

For the german translation I certainly have german text. What is my mistake?

Kind regards

Kevin

Now I'm using this code, works fine:

ctlCaptcha.Text = Localization.GetString("ctlCaptcha.Text", LocalResourceFile);
ctlCaptcha.ErrorMessage = Localization.GetString("ctlCaptcha.ErrorMessage", LocalResourceFile);

But it would be nice to use the resource key attribute.

you might want to check out the Feedback module, which uses the captcha control as well (AFAIR with proper localization).

Cheers from Germany,

I downloaded the module and as far I can see, they used the localization through the code behind, like I do.
