just create a module that allows you to edit and update database records. Be sure to check out module development walktroughs over at http://dnn.adefwebserver.com

     Thank you  Erik VB

i created a module to edit my database records , if i want to update records i need to modify in database itself . But the functionality required is i want to modify  in site itself without opening that database.

                      Thank you.

please read the dnn module development guides. Also, there are several good books available on dnn module development, and a good starting point for starting dnn module development is michael washingtons dnn help site: dnn.adefwebserver.com. he has several tutorials of simple modules that will show you how to connect with data

Also, please keep in mind that DNN is just ASP.NET, so everything that works in ASP.Net also works in dnn...

if data manipulation does not require much validation of the data entered, you also may consider to use a generic data tool, like SQLGridSelectedView from www.tressleworks.ca.
