Will someone telll me which file has the password error message in it? I had changed this before, but now cannot find the file or my notes.

I believe that it is a resource file, but i don't know which one.

You are well on your way...

Admin - Languages ---- then click Language Editor

Local Resources - Admin - Authentication - App_LocalResources - Login.ascx

Andrew

Thank you for the reply. I didn't use this method, instead, i directly made a change to a resource file. Now, i cannot find the file i changed (via someones advice and i can't find that message anywhere.)

I tried using the admin path you gave me, but that is somehow being overridden by the other change i made.

Do you konw where in the DNN directory, i can find a resource file that has the password error message entries ?

Sure - then it's just the last part - staring at the web root folder:

Admin - Authentication - App_LocalResources - Login.ascx

I'm sure you're well aware by now - but you should always try to use the DNN platform to make changes.  And if there's a "core" piece that needs to be changed - I'd recreate it just like the core - but with a different name so it's never overridden.  I found out the hard way a couple times early on!
