Hi Guys

Hopefully someone here knows the quick answer to this as two of us have been looking at it for hours and gone nowhere.

We have a tableless container on the right here - **URL Removed - problem fixed**

As you can see at the moment... there's a gap appearing between the top, middle, and bottom sections of the container and we just can't figure out why.  It seems to be a rather simple design that's just causing us this headache.

The CSS file is here: **URL Removed - problem fixed**

And the main code for the template is:

<div class="Rt1">
    <div class="Rt1Tools"><dnn:ACTIONS runat="server" id="dnnACTIONS" ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" ExpandDepth="1" PopulateNodesFromClient="True" />
        <dnn:ICON runat="server" id="dnnICON" /></div>
    <div class="Rt1Top">
        <h1><dnn:TITLE runat="server" id="dnnTITLE" CssClass="phead" />
        </h1>
    </div>
        <div id="ContentPane" runat="server" class="Rt1Content"></div>
    <div class="Rt1Foot"></div>
    <div class="box_footer">
            <dnn:ACTIONBUTTON1 runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON1" CommandName="AddContent.Action" DisplayIcon="True" DisplayLink="True" />
            <dnn:ACTIONBUTTON2 runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON2" CommandName="SyndicateModule.Action" DisplayIcon="True" DisplayLink="False" />
            <dnn:ACTIONBUTTON3 runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON3" CommandName="PrintModule.Action" DisplayIcon="True" DisplayLink="False" />
            <dnn:ACTIONBUTTON4 runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON4" CommandName="ModuleSettings.Action" DisplayIcon="True" DisplayLink="False" />
    </div>

What could possibly be causing this?

Many thanks

David

Your P tags have a default margin-top and margin-bottom definition of 1em. If you set your ".Rt1 p" style to margin:0; for testing purposes, you'll see your sidebar looks correct. I'm sure you'll be able to sort it out from there.

Hi Mike

Thanks very much for that and instantly sorted!

Is this default a normal thing?

I've actually never come across it before, or somehow just missed it in all my days until now. We really had next to no hope finding that by looking at the code like we were.

Greatly appreciated!

David

I don't remember exactly where the 1em came from (I looked at it over 1 hour ago ), but I think it was just a browser default. If you use a tool like firefox/firebug, chrome/inspect or IE developer toolbar, it's fairly easy to spot problems like these.
