Hello. I recently added the 4.0.1 News Module to my 5.0.1 site (newtonlake.com). I have three feeds from the local newspaper feeding the module. I've noticed that more often than not, the module doesn't load the newsfeeds, and produces the above errors. Any feedback on how to correct this would be appreciated. I'm including the activity logs for the types of errors that occur.

Kind Regards,
Ed Janx

Hello,

Ever since upgrading my site to 5.1.4 my error log is being flooded (about 100 a day) with these three errors.  I didn't have these errors before the upgrade (4.8.2).  I am not using the News module in particular and I'm noticing these errors from several modules.

I've been scouring trying to find a solution to these errors for the past several days.  Did you find a solution to these errors?

I read in some other posts that these errors could be due to custom containers or due to 3rd party menu controls, but doesn't ever say what is wrong with them so I can correct them.  I'm currently using Rad Controls for my menu and hand-written containers and skins.  The containers and skins aren't dramatically different from the default ones provided in the install (DNN-Blue for example).

I have had this error every day too since upgrading to 5.2.1 - I also get the Deserialisation error a lot.

I don't get the Deserialization error, but am getting many General, Module Load, & Page Load exceptions since upgrading from 4.5.5 to 5.2.1. Many of these reference ModuleID -1 and ModuleDefID-1 and many have a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" exception. Here is a log entry that is representative of my errors: AssemblyVersion: 5.2.1 PortalID: 0 PortalName: CORA UserID: -1 UserName: ActiveTabID: 420 ActiveTabName: Pictures RawURL: /Pictures/tabid/420/ctl/Voting/mid/1146/path/Frostbite2/currentitem/16/Default.aspx?media=IMG_2313s.jpg¤tstrip=1 AbsoluteURL: /Default.aspx AbsoluteURLReferrer: UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Yahoo!
