Good news!  Thanks to everyone who replied and let Telerik know that this was a needed feature.

Here is the response from Telerik.

Thanks for the feedback! We have started implementing a new content provider for the editor file browser dialogs that should integrate better with the DNN role based security. The first release with the new provider will be after the next RadControls Q1 2009 service pack. If anyone wishes to test the new provider earlier, we will be glad to send them a working version in advance. Just open a formal support ticket and request it.

I'm not running it on a Dotnetnuke site yet, because of the lack of this feature we are requesting. But if you want to check out the editor, go to the telerik RadEditor demo page or their DotNetNuke Integration page.

I'd like to know why I should dhoose this thing over the other ..... what does Telerik users say is the reason to choose telerik over FCKeditor?
