Hi,

I've got a requirement for a resources directory for an NGO site.  They want users to be able to upload documents to a selected category, add metadata (author, subject, etc), which will then be presented on the site.  Most of the document mangement modules seem intended for intranets whereas this is a public site with privilaged members (stakeholders).  Any ideas?

Documents may be used on Internet as well, it uses folder permissions, controlled by the DotNetNuke framework (specified in Admin :: FIle Manager).

If you need public upload option with moderation, have a look at Repository module.

Besides, there are a number of advanced 3rd party modules, like DMX from www.bring2mind.net.

My plan was to use the repository module from the start except that it doesn't support metatdata.  That is, I can't define fields like Author or Abstract.  I had a look at DMX but it seems more intended for collaboration, rather than the public.
