Error conditions:

  • DNN 4.9.0
  • Occurs on every page view after logged in as an admin
  • Only on skins that have the sign in skin object installed
  • Skin object is working fine otherwise

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Unhandled error loading page. ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format at System.String.format(IformatProvider provider, String format, Object[] args) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password.DataBind() at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBindChildren() at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind(Boolean raiseOnDataBinding) at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBindChildren() at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind(Boolean raiseOnDataBinding) at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBindChildren() at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind(Boolean raiseOnDataBinding) at DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage.LoadSkin(String SkinPath) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The documentation and forums make no mention of a "format" parameter.

default skin object is [LOGIN], if there is a [singnin] as well in your system, this must be a 3rd party component.

There is a SIGNIN skin object in the Core Sebastian, it not used a lot though.

DNN4: Admin/Authentication/Login.ascx

DNN5: DesktopModules/Admin/Authentication/Login.ascx

(which means a skin parsed on DNN 4 will throw an error if used in DNN 5 if it uses this skin object)

Not sure what the problem is though..
