Hi,

Using a modified version of DNN_Blue skin. Started configuring look and feel of menus. I set all colors + effects, etc, to match my preferences. So far, so good.

However, when the menu is first opened, there are what looks like two "borders" present in the very right corner of each menu item. They look like this:

menuitem1   _|
menuitem2   _|
menuitem3   _|
etc

If I roll-over the items, the "borders" disappear!! If I refresh the page, they return. I set all present borders in sections ".MainMenu_...." to 0px - no difference. What am I dealing with here?

Thanks,
--Jakob

I suggest reading my first response in this thread to find out what you are most likely dealing with.

Jon,

Thank you so much - I figured it out thanks to your brilliant description of the "three TD's". Had no idea about the last "arrow" part - but now I do!!

Btw, if you have a moment, can you have a look at the last part of this posting of mine? I can't figure out what's going on. I'm trying to change the color of [COPYRIGHT], [TERMS] [PRIVACY] and [SEARCH]. Got one working ([COPYRIGHT]) but not any other. I'm suspecting I'm not referencing something correctly but for the life of me - I can't see what or where.

Thanks again for your help!!!

I suggest doing a view source on the page and see if the termslink, langlink, searchlink, etc. is referenced in the page.  If it is then you have an issue with your css not being picked up.  If it is not referenced, then your skin is not parsed correctly...  when you upload your skin and see the output do you see those class names output anywhere in the text?

Jon,

Thanks for the response. Based on the posting you pointed me to earlier, I actually started investigating what you suggested.

Yes, went through the parsing log and all items/calss names show up as expected. No errors.

If I do view source on the page, all items in question show up:

<TABLE class="skingradient" cellSpacing="0" cellPadding="0" width="100%" border="0">
  <TR>
    <TD valign="middle" align="center"><span id="dnn_dnnCOPYRIGHT_lblCopyright" class="copyrightlink">Copyright 2005-2006 ConnectArts</span>
&nbsp;&nbsp;<a id="dnn_dnnTERMS_hypTerms" class="termslink" href="http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Terms/Default.aspx">Terms Of Use</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a id="dnn_dnnPRIVACY_hypPrivacy" class="privacylink" href="http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Privacy/Default.aspx">Privacy Statement</a></TD>
  </TR>
</TABLE>

(I omitted the "searchlink" code above)

It's just so weird since "copyrightlink" is working but not the rest of them. The only commonality is that all non-working items are LINKS (Copyright is not). Should links be treated differently (i.e. different class)??

Thanks!
