Hi

Quite New to DNN ploughing my way through modules. I am after a module that will do the following. Basically I am having a products page with 4 items on it. After they have looked at that page they can go to the Order Page where I will simply have 4 lines and a quantity box. They will choose the quantity and it will add it up and give them the total.

6xbottles of Pinot, 5xbottles of Shriz after that it lets the person fill in their details and a email is sent to the website owner informing them of the query so they can follow up with a phone call. Anybody know of a FREE module that will do this?

Cheers

Hi Tim.

Honestly i don't understand why you want to start with an electronic catalog ending up with a phone call!

However, what you need is a Store-Module which would bring you:
- a catalog with pictures, description, prices and so on....
- a shopping card
- maybe payment possibilities

There is a module in DNN itself, but the opinions are quite different about that (to be diplomatic). There is another free here.

Which ever you choose, you should try to get more familiar with DNN itself. Especially Roles, Users, some settings....

Hope that helps

Kai

Hi Kai,

I'm not Tim, but sometimes, it's because the payment gateways available aren't what the Business Owner wants to use or are ones that they can't use.  In my case there are also shipping considerations that can't be *easily* built in to automated systems. So a simple "We'll call you to finalise your order" makes sense and also offers a personal touch to the end user.

Hi Kai,

I'm not Tim, so can't answer on his behalf, but in my situation it's because the payment gateways on offer are either ones that the Business Owner doesn't want to use or for some reason can't use.  There's also the possiblility that some shipping considerations can't be *easily* built in to automatic systems, but are easy for human to work out.  In these cases a simple "Thanks for your order, we'll be in touch to finalise details" will suffice and also allows a business to offer a personal touch to their customers.

Ah, i see and i totally agree.

But my post still is valid, especially when you have a look at the NB-Store-Module. There you can (as far as i remember) switch on and off what kind of payment should be allowed and stuff like that.

Cheers
