I have recently upgraded my installation from DNN4 to DNN5 and I'm using the latest version. In my previous installation I had a 2nd data provider defined which worked fine. However, in DNN5 it does not work. If I take the 2nd provider out then the site runs albiet I can't access my provider. If I add the 2nd provider back in and run the site it goes back into the initial install mode wizard. This is the section from the web.config file.

    <data defaultProvider="SqlDataProvider">
      <providers>
        <clear />
        <add name="SqlDataProvider" type="DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider" connectionStringName="SiteSqlServer" upgradeConnectionString="" providerPath="~\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\" objectQualifier="dnn_" databaseOwner="dbo" />
        <!-- PDM Start -->
        <add name="FReDDataProvider" type="DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider" connectionStringName="FReDSqlServer" upgradeConnectionString="" providerPath="~\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\" objectQualifier="fred_" databaseOwner="dbo" />
        <!-- PDM End -->
      </providers>
    </data>

If anyone knows why this is happening and how to get the 2nd provider to work I would appreciate it.

Paul
