Hi.

I see the little blue pencil to edit the anouncement when I'am in the view mode.
Is this a correct behavior.
I have installed DNN 4.9.2.
Announcements 4.0.2

AFAIK there is no clear guide line, whether edit pencil shall be shown in view mode or not. it makes sense, to show submit button in a feedback form and not to show "edit settings" link, but with the current permission set it is defficult to decide, how to handle edit command, e.g. if users have "edit module" permission only and are not shown the control panel with mode switch nor the action menu, they have no option to enter content at all.

Hi Tom,

We are getting the same thing happening to us. We tried removing the [EDIT] token from the announcement templates but, it just puts it next to the announcement title. Did you ever find a fix for it?

quite frankly, it would only be an issue if you would see it if you dont have edit rights...
