Hey,

We're working on a few sites right now, and on 2 of them when you go into the text/html editor, in the rich text editor the background color of the editing area is the same as the background color for the site. This makes it a pain in the *** to edit text cuz u can hardly see it. I'm thinking this has something to do with the skin.css file but I've compared the one where the background color in the editor is white to the other ones and they're practically identical I cant find where it is that's causing this. Can anybody help me with what I can do to fix this?

Here's a screenshot:

If you dont' get a good reply here, you might try putting this post in the FCKeditor forum where it will get Mauricio Marquez's attention... he is responsible for the FCKeditor provider.

Cheers

use:

#Body{

background-color:#xxxxxx;

}

the main page body has that class, the editors body tag does not (it's in an Iframe)

FCKeditor tries by default, to apply portal css to the editor area, including background style from the body. some skins use a dark background to place a light table or block element on it to contain the content. In this case, you can override default setup by entering custom editor options (using the link beneath the editor) and select either default or an idividual CSS file for the editor area. Make sure, to apply for the whole portal, if you are using the skin on all pages.
