Anyone know what is hanging the forums module in the release process?  It looks like it has been waiting for some action for 5 days. Is it possible that the person was not notified?

The Forum module is in the 'Testing' phase. In order to keep the Tracker module generic enough to be used to track any DNN module, the Testing phase has very generic work items. And while there are some specific tests, like Install, UnInstall, etc. most of the testing falls under a single work item, 'Additional Tests'.

Obviously testing a complex module like Forums will take a lot longer. So while it looks like there's been no activity in the past five days, what that really means is that of the work being done, none of it has been 'completed' in the past five days.  Trust us, no one wants the new version of the Forum released more than we do :)

I fully agree to Steve !  The module is in a phase which have very generic work items. So this needs a longer time.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.  That helps me understand the process better and hopefully others who are wondering too.

Please be aware, that release testing is done nearly exclusively by volunteers, most of them with specific skills and experience, who need to find some spare time to execute their testing - especially for large modules like Forums, Events, FnL, this takes some time.

Being responsible for  the release process, I would like to ask both the community and the project teams for some patience - IMHO justified by valuable results.

Thank you.
