Hi all,

I am using a lot of report in my dnn site.

The database I use is not the same as the dnn default one.

So I must set the settings for each report module.  I would like to centralize my connection string somewhere in order to select it in the datasource dropdown list.

Is it possible ?

If you post this in the Reports Project forum, that team is more likely to see and respond to you.

Cheers!

Please read Extend it! (VS2005 and 2008) forum, there are a couple of strings, how to use a custom connection string in your web.config file and how to access it in your modules. May be this blog about EF is another valuable source: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/2215/Discover-Entity-Framework-with-DotNetNuke-and-the-Store-module.aspx.

[PS: this is not related to Reports module, though it needs to handle CS as well.]
