I have recently lost a web job to this package http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/ I had never heard of it before. One thing that sticks out is that how fast and snappy the sites are. Does anybody know anything more about this package?

I never heard about that. Even when i went through the internet some years ago searching for a portal/cms system i did not find it....

However, have you read the technical requirements? They are following a quite different direction:
- Windows-Server recommended only if you manage it on your own, they are more on X.....
- no MS-SQL
- no IE6-Support (for administration)
- uses PHP

I don't want to state anything about the quality, don't get me wrong.
I tried for a few mins the demo and must say, either the server running it is HUGE with a 2 GB Line to my desk or it is really pretty fast.

I just want to say that the audience is slightly different than the one for DNN.

I'm not even thinking about changing, as i'm a windows-man.

it is very important to notice the speed .... I am all in for speed .... we are building only large sites and what matters there is basic speed..... I'd like to se some benchmarking here ...... and a call for the core team to do what they can to match the speed?
