I was checking out snowcovered for a photo gallery or album and they have too many options. I have already checked out LiveContent & Ultra Media Gallery.

I am looking for other options which have these would-like-to-have's:

- Ability to upload several files at once.

- ability to resize all images to a specific size (maintain aspect ratio)

- Ability to display many images as thumbnails. kinda like flickr

- Not Silverlight based. Flash is OK.

- Ability to leave a comment for a photo

- Display number of views

I think Ventrian's simple gallery pretty much covers all of that....

Ventrian Simple Gallery is my Fav. But it does not have the ability to allow comments as far as I know.  You may be able to figure a way.  A free module that may be useful is made by Oliver Hine and he calls it escher. It takes the photos from Flicker or Picasa and puts them on your site.  This way all the uploading/management and hosting is done by the fine folks at Yahoo/Google.

I'm surprised it doesn't do comments by now as Scotts news module for instance has this functionality, so I suspect it wouldn't be too hard for him to port over this functionality.... when subscribed you might be able to lobby Scott about this... I suspect it would be on his "to do" list anyway at some stage.
