I've been pretty happy with humanfriendly url's within dotnetnuke

oops, you are talking aboout the forums module, which does support Search engine friendly URLs, as m pointed out before.

I'd expect that there are also plans to support human friendly URLs in a future version, Chris should be able to point out.
