I created a DNN module using a tutorial and installed it on my local DNN and it worked fine.
I also installed a module created from a know working module " LinqThings4Sale"  on my Local Dnn and it worked fine.

I then Installed Both on my host www.Ihostasp.net , shared server with 3.5 extensions. They both installed successfully, but Both failed
When mounted on a page causing a run time error:  Server Crashed.

Would the problem be that I need to compile it as a DNN Production Module tobe compatable with dll's and 3.5 extenstions

this is the error from the logs. d:\webroot\domains\westdesignstore.com\wwwroot\App_Code\LinqThings4Sale\LinqThings4Sale.designer.cs(32,13): error CS1519: Invalid token 'void' in class, struct, or interface member declaration

I am using VWD 2008 visual studio 2008 express.

Would buying Visual Studio 2008 Standard and Publishing the module resolve my problem?
Meaning the Host (www.Ihostasp.net) requires a dll version ,

My first guess would be that the changes to enable .NET 3.5 do not exist in the web.config file on the production site.  If you validate that the entries are in the web.config you should be much better off.
