Hi,

I am having problem with my DNN module not reading the new updated control files.

Using the module edit, I have entered 3 new control files for the view/edit/settings, but when the page calling the module loads, it generated an error indicating "desktopmodule/yyyy/XXXXXXX.ascx" file not found, which are the old ascx file names. I tried refreshing my page and closing/reopening my browser, but the module is still attempting to load the old files. Should I not be using the module pencil edit feature to update the files? Am I supposed to uninstall the old ones before installing the new?

Thanks,

Rouset

I believe some of those items are cached, and that making the changes in the module definitions area doesn't necessarily purge the cache.  Try restarting the application (Either via Host->Host Settings -> Restart Application or by re-saving the web.config.

if you are creating a WAP module, make sure as well, that the .dll is placed in /bin directory.
