Hi

I get the following error whilst trying the auto install od DNN

Error Installing DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 04.09.03

ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

 

Cant undersatnd why as ive dont it many times before.Why should the connection string be wrong I just hit f5 in VWD Express?

and then choose auto

Seems odd. Did you double check the web.config?

Although Im sure a called my sql server localhost and its an sql server 2008 express database

the connection string only works, if SQL server is installed as named instance "SQLEXPRESS"
