I just started getting this same error today, out of nowhere.  Site is also running on GoDaddy, but I've got many other sites on GoDaddy running the same version of DNN (4.7) and not throwing this error.

Seems an odd coincidence this would all start happening today to multiple people.  Must be something on the hosting end.

 Well, magically fixed itself ... sort of. I grabbed a fresh install and copied all of the dll files over into the bin directory. It recompiled and worked fine. Changing the web.config should have done the same thing but if this helps someone else through this nightmare, so be it!

Same here. I did some updates to the web.config and reloaded, hoping it might kick start it but that didn't work.  Was verifying the status of backups and downloading the 4.9.3 upgrade package when suddenly it started working again.  Ghosts in the machine, I guess.
