Guys,

If i am moving a DNN instance which has a main DNN portal (one which is installed automatically when installing DNN) and a Parent Portal. Now the main portal is empty and my parent portal is suppose to be a live website. So now when i move them is it okay if my main DNN instance is not hosted web site ( means it would be on a public IP, but no domain name because it has an empty website) and my parent portal will be hosted as a website which will have a domain name. Is this possible or both of them need to have domain names.

Thanks,

Mrunal

You can move them as you like .... for example to development environment or to another domain if you edit the portalsalias table inside the database .. good luck

you can even delete portal 0, if it is kapt, it needs a single portal alias, either domain name, IP address or machine name (accessible from LAN only).
