I am installing DNN 4.9.3 Install Pack and using SQL server 2005 express. I am in a phase 'Configure Database Connection' and when testing  db connection there comes error message: An attempt to attach auto-named database for file C:\DotNetNuke\App_Data\DotNetNuke3 failed.

I have no DotNetNuke3.mdf (though I've created it with SQL server management studio express) in App_data -folder and I've tried to copy it from
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data -folder but it does not allow to copy it. Is it possible/sensible at all to copy it somehow ?
While trying to copy DotNetNuke3.mdf, I've closed all programs that are trying to use the file (f.e. MS SQL server management studio express).

Is the only way to go on,that I create a new database and remove DNN and reinstall it again. How can I be sure that the database is saved to C:\DotNetNuke\App_Data -folder (as it should go)?

What should actually be there in web.config file? I've tried almost everything ;)

if you use file based connection, it should use /app_data/database.mdf

However, I suggest to create a blank database in your SQL server and grant permission to an account (local "Network Service" for integrated Security od SQL account) and use SQL Server connection type, it will allow you to access the file without problems using SSMS in the future.

Thanks for your advice, I could continue installing to the phase 'Install Optional Skins and Containers'.
On the page there were no optional skins to install and no optional containers to install.

Then I clicked 'Next' and this error message appeared:

Server Error in '/database' application:

Is the error in that I chose Active Directory in earlier step in installing and it should be changed somehow in web.config?

I could not find any place in web.config to change it, could you please advice how to go on?

I have finally installed DNN successfully! I needed just remove all DNN Folder / files and create new database and get the install package again. This time I did not choose 'AD' in a phase that comes after 'Install Optional Modules' :)
