Is there a way to export an entire portal to html? For backup to CD, for example? I am finding nothing that can do this, and we have a customer who wants a static copy of their site for their records. Any help would be much appreciated!!

A long time ago I remembered hearing about an application that would do this, but really it is not an easy task to do.

If you want something for backup purposes, just do a site and database backup....

Export them a copy of the DNN installation/site you have done for them BUT install it on a local machine/laptop as a   localhost site with a MS SQL Express db and then make a copy for them with instruktoin how to get it running from the DVD copy ... this will do the same job as in pure Html for them ... but with the upside that this is less expensive for them ....

There are desktop apps that will crawl a site and save it locally as a set of html/image/css files.  It's probably worth trying one of these out.   A few years back I did this for some reason or other, and it did a pretty good job.  Some stuff won't work properly, and it's unlikely to get all the admin pages, but if you're just looking to preserve the content in html form, it's probably worth download a few trials and seeing how it goes.  Most of the trials will either only save n pages, or will save the pages but replace the image files with licencing messages, or something like that.
