I have been unable to install the DotNetNuke Online Demo, tried a couple of times (different days) and got the following error both times.

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

 I just created successfully a new portal at demo.dotnetnuke.com, was able to login (using the credentials provided by email) and edit the site as usual.

Please describe in detail, what you did and when the error occurs.

Thank you

Hi,

I am mow getting a different error.

Here is the process that I used each time.

1. Log in to dotnetnuke.com web site.

2. Menu to Online Demo

3. Click >>>Create Your Demo Account<<<

4. Fill in required fields on demo account that were not retrieved from login account.

5. Click the Submit button.

Previously I got the error in the previous post, now I get to the page http://demo.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?userid=699980 but at the bottom of the page (below the Demo Professional button) there is the following error.

DemoSignUp

There was an Error creating the portal.

I assume, the previously created portal still exist. either wait 24-48 hours, until it got cleared out or log out from dotnetnuke.com and use a different username and password.
