Hello all,

I've just applied the upgrade to the version 4.9.4.

All seems to be good, no errors was shown on the wizard and the portals seems to be good.

But when I see the event logs, I find this record :

Concur.  This is an error.  Several of my client's sites are experiencing this issue and candidly we do not know the ramifications of this error.

Apparently the roots of this error goes back to December 2008 with the upgrade to the beta/stillborn release of 5.0.  Read this support ticket:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=9025&PROJID=2

Why this is now a problem in 4.9.4 when it wasn't a problem upgrading DNN sites from 4.9.X to 4.9.Y is a mystery to me.

Perhaps someone can enlighten us from the core team (heavy hint) to let us know the correction procedure, if any, is involved here???

I've just had this same exception going from 4.9.3 to 4.9.4

I'm assuming it tried to remove something that perhaps I had already moved or removed, possibly the Active Directory provider - which I can see is still in the install/package folder on my system. I'll remove it manually.

I can't see a connection to that gemini issue however... that seems to be about something else.

Rob
