Hi Everyone...

I have created a module and it is working fine on my application.

Now I am trying to create a package of my module so that i can install and use it on another site. I am following the method specified by

http://adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN_PackageModule/ProtectingYourModule.htm

I have successfully created the package and installed the module on other site. But when I apply the module on my page , it gives me an error message.

Reason being the dll files.

In my original site , the application contains reference to some external dlls such as Google Health, Google Spreadsheets etc. I have published my own application and also included the compiled dlls in the .zip folder and also made changes in the .dnn file. But receiving the error.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciable.

Thanks & Regards -- Palli

Make sure the external dll's were installed on your new site, in the correct location. If not, review the package and manifest.

Thanks for replying john..

Did you mean to say... I need to add reference of the external DLLs into my new web apllication also where I am installing my module.

I have the following query , please suggest

1. Cant that process be done automatically while installing the module by including the DLLs into the .zip folder.

Thanks

Oh sorry John .. I misunderstood your question.

No , the DLLs are not being installed into the bin folder of my new web application while installing the module . The DLLs remain into the DesktopModules/MyModuleName Folder.

Thanks

Thanks & Regards -- Palli

The dlls need to be included in the zip file and also in the manifest, in the <files> section.

<files><file><name>sample.dll</name></file></files>
