I'm playing around with the RADEditor trial.  I know there are quite a few DNNer's using it.

I'm wondering how you can set custom toolbars per editor instance.  I understand how to customize toolbars via the toolbars.xml file but can't seem to figure out how to do per instance customizations.

Any clues?

Greg

Pretty sure you're going to get directed back to the Telerik website for their support system there. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with their software so I'm not of much help here other than just mentioning the author's site.

Greg,

AFAIK this is not supported by RAD editor - and my customers still prefer FCKEditor for being easier to use (except the nerds).

I've been through all the documentation they provide (kind of limited since the controls are meant for developers), their forums, and looked through all the files in the desktop modules folder and I'm thinking Sebastian is correct - the trial module can't do this.  I'm guessing that you would need to custom build a text/html module using their control to do this?

Oh well it was worth a try as the RADeditor does have some very nice features but probably not enough differences to justify the cost of the controls plus a custom text/html module. The only reason I was looking at it was because I won the controls as a door prize at the local .net developers group meeting. I do have a use for it on a project that won't need custom toolbars per instance but could greatly benefit from their template manager.

Thanks for the replies!

Greg

I find that RAD Editor works much faster with Internet Explorer which otherwise with FCK Editor freezes up on me .....
