So are we saying that this won't be fixed in 4.x, and that we will have to upgrade to 5.1.x (which is not complete yet), to get a bug fix? This has only started impacting me since 4.9.4!!

This will be decided by the Corp.

It really only matters IF it is causing a functional problem. If it is cosmetic then I can live with a full error log for a while...

I've noticed this on my production sites ever since rolling out the 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 releases. I've also fixed / hacked it by creating my own custom .browser file and including the following UserAgents which I noticed to be throwing the errors on a few of my larger portals... (baiduspider,yandex,ia_archiver,yanga,sphere scout, feedfetcher-google, wario, zibber, twiceler, voliabot, aisearchbot, robotgenius,r6_feedfetcher).

I can also say, I've had reports of RSS feeds/readers not working after upgrading due to this error (hence the feedfetcher-google, and sphere scout bot errors), all the others I added in because I got sick of getting notified about these errors.

I've also posted the file in my downloads section quite a few months ago just incase anyone else was interested...

Hi;
me too have this error since upgrade to 4.9.4
Is there any chance to get some fix other than upgrade to 5.x version ??
I have a lot of module that will be impossible to upgrade the site.
Thanks

Can someone from the core team please advise on this bug? It has a Gemini rating of Major - is it a major issue in 4.9x? I wont be upgrading any time soon so can the person who fixed it please share the code or discuss the problem and solution.

Is it purely cosmetic or does it have functional implications? Can someone comment on Olivers temp fix (thanks for this btw).
