We have our main company website running off of our Web server and we would like to develop some internal web pages using DNN for use around the company. Therefore, we logged onto our DNN site where our main web site is based, went to HOST>Portals and selected 'Add New Portal'. We set up the details and received a confirmation email from you saying the site is setup with Verification Code: 3-1641. The problem is that instead of the DNN setup homepage we get an IE message saying 'website unavailable'. With the following possibilities

This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

I have full admin access on the Web server, and all of the website settings seem correct. What is it I may be missing?

you need to make sure that the web server forwards the additional domain address to the correct IIS web site - either by using a catch all for the IP address (if no other domains are running on the server) or by specifying the domain names as additional host header values in IP binding.
