New Community Website

Ordinarily, you'd be at the right spot, but we've recently launched a brand new community website... For the community, by the community.

Yay... Take Me to the Community!

Welcome to the DNN Community Forums, your preferred source of online community support for all things related to DNN.
In order to participate you must be a registered DNNizen

Here's an item I didn't find anything on after a quick Google search...

Occasionaly I see comments from forum posters complaining about the number of "unanswered" posts on the DNN forums.  I often write off such comments as sour grapes since it is obvious to me that a large majority of questions do get responded to if not outright answered.  DNN is not a "paid product" for the vast majority of forum users, as such, I view these forums as an excellent free resource rather than a path to guaranteed product support.

Unapproved Posts
On the other hand, I do believe that many posts may be getting overlooked by the general forum community due to posts showing up by their "creation" date rather than their "approved by a moderator" date.  I typically troll the "Aggregated Forum" list which means that, by the time a new post gets approved by a moderator, that new post may show up buried on page four of the aggregated list instead of premiering at the top of page one.  The same could be true of any particularly active forum topic, not just the Aggregated Forum.  If a forum moderator isn't able to approve posts quickly enough, new posts may end up premiering somewhere other than page one.  In these cases it's easy to see how a new user might think that his/her question was just simply ignored while other, newer questions were answered.

Simple Solution:  Better Sorting?
I think a simple improvement would be to display both a "created" timestamp and an "approved" timestamp with posts sorted by the "approved" timestamp rather than the "created" timestamp.

Thoughts?

If you discuss about the usage on this site this discussion want better placed to the "Chat about it" Forum on this Page.

If you missing features or you have found bugs you are on the right place.  But I understand your post by usage of this Forum, this can't be answered from the Project Team of this Forum Project.
