I found the setting in the module .css and changed it to 200 x 200 now. That looks alot better for me.

The forum search was rather slow and gave me nothing. But your clue about the stylesheet helped.

I made the same adjustment (set my calendar to 200 x 200) after noticing how large it was, and that made it look nice and neat.

However,  when I select a day that has events-- which then lists the events below the calendar-- the content pane that it's in blows up again.  After viewing the page source, it looks like the table that the listings are in is hard-coded to 400px, so although the calendar is small, the listings below it sprawl across the page and blow out my layout.  Does anyone have suggestions on how I can change the listings size to make them smaller?

For the record, I think the width of the listings should be controlled in the stylesheet just like everything else.

Other than that, I think this is a great improvement over the original DNN events calendar.
