Hi All

If this has been posted in the wrong area please accept my apologies and advise me!

I have installed (locally) DNN 04.09.03 a few weeks ago and have been gradually building a site up and had minimal issues so far, but now I have an issue which seems to be specific to IE8. As soon as I run the site and mouseover a menu (still the original default menus that shipped with dnn, although at one point i did install a skin, but I uninstalled it after a few minututes and did not get any issues with IE8. Only now has this appeared all seems OK with Firefox apart froma problem with vertically aligned icons within the forum module but this issue corrects itself if I minimize then maximise the module itself. Anyway back to the IE8 issue here are a couple of links that I hope some smart developer can make some sense off  !

Thanks for reading

John

This is a known bug reported day 1 of the IE 8 era.

As far as I know DNN corp think this is ok or maybe corrected in the PE version.

Its good advertisment- it works n this site too:)

Jan, I knew you would comment on this. I find this IE8 problem particularly embarrassing for DotNetNuke and DotNetNuke.com and personally, I don't understand this apparent (what appears to be) indifference. I know and I'm sure it isn't, but to the uninitiated, it does seem to be.

Thank you for this reply. Can you tell me is there any "dirty fix" I can implement in the CE version ?

Thank you

John
