Hi all,

I stil have a problem with SMTP Configuration , I'm working under windows server 2003, my portal is not on line yet, I don't know what can I do to test sending emails and notifications.

Needing help.

If your server is connected to the Internet, you can use gmail as your smtp host.

If your server is still totally offline, you can install some free mail server program on your pc. You will need some knowledge on the setting though.

Hi,

Thanks George , I have tried Gmail and it's work  with the following configuration:
l'@mail host : hajarussa.host@gmail.com

SMTP and Port : smtp.gmail.com

SSL Option= checked

SMTP username :hajarussa.host@gmail.com ,

pour SMTP password : password of gmail @mail .

However , I have www.embauche.ma as domain name , my portal is not on line , but  I'd like to know how can I use it as my SMTP host ; I have tried by :


l'@mail host : admin@embauche.ma

SMTP and Port : mail.embauche.ma

SMTP username :admin@embauche.ma

pour SMTP password : password

SSL Option= checked,

This configuration doesn't work, I don't know what can I do? the portal should be on line?

You forget to add the port number.

SMTP and Port : smtp.gmail.com:587

For your own domain, Since web server and email server are actually seperated things (Even seems together in your control panel), as long as your domain and hosting account is active, shouold be able to send email.

Hi George,

  I have configured my SMTP . I have tested the SMTP configuration in host/setting and it seems Ok ,but when I try to send newsletter , no mail was send

and I have this following message : Bulk mail sent (asynchronous mode). Please check confirmation email for result. Can you explain me more about this message please.
