Hi there,

Does anyone know how i can open a hyperlinked URL in a gridview in a new window? It doesn't necessary have to stay in DNN environment. Currently i'm using DNN 4.02

Thanks in advance,

Marc

Update:

I currently have transfered my hyperlink field to a template field with a hyperlink control. In this control i can do some databinding. The text is binded to my databasefield which contains the URL. The format is set to: General - {0}. The navigateUrl is also set to the databasefield with the URL. The format is also set to General - {0}.

So far this resulted in a hyperlink which is clickable. It is nog opening in a new window but it tries to open the link in my module. The Url looks like this: Http://Servername/DesktopModules/Module/www.internetsite.nl

Does someone know how i can change into a working hyperlink which opens in a new window?

Regards,

Marc

well, even before the issue with opening in new window you have an issue with un-resolved url.

try appending http:// to all urls which don't have it, so that you get:

http://www.internetsite.nl

instead of:

You're right, the http:// was missing in my databasefield. I have changed this and the link works just fine.

This way the user leaves my site and i still would love to see a new window being opened with the adress of the hyperlink. Do you also know how i can tackle this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Marc

well, you have the target property for that, just set it on this:

target="_blank"

that should do it!
