Here is a free module that uses Google Maps: Store Locator

You may be interested in the facilities at Mapchannels.com

Use a "My Google map" as the source data and copy the Link url.
Register (free) at Map Channels.
Click Create new map - I have been using the version 3 beta as it can include street view- (its been no problem)
Copy your Google map URL into the Google My Maps (KML), Click save and go to the next screen to edit and configure your map.
When done simply paste the resulting code into and HTML module.

Here is one I made earlier.

The Benefits
> Free and Simple
> Simple for clients to add to the map at Google.
> Looks great and lets you do a lot in a short time.

Potential downsides
> Auto refresh of Google data can only to be set to Daily - (default is None). You can always trigger a refresh inside MapChannels though.
> Its a third party data feed and so if they go down so does your map. That said I have been using them for about a year without issue.

Hope this is of some use.

Ian
