Is  it possible to make the search function fuzzy, At the moment if I search for a phrase then I will only get the results that exactly match that phase but I would like to return all results that are a sub set of the phase. eg If I search for "contact", then I would like to return any page with contact, contacts, contactlist, etc.

The DNN Search is pretty limiting right now, but it is written in a provider model so you could extend it and plug in a new search provider. You can also look at other search options such as the search modules from Venexus www.venexus.com they allow for SQL Full Text indexing/search, which I find to be better than the standard DNN search.

This bothered me so much I typically tweak the relevant stored procedure to allow substring searches.  It just so happens that I blogged about this tweak a ew weeks ago...
