Let's say that I wanted to go back to the old editor? How would I do that? Is it still available withing 4.9.2?

I want to see if the issue that I have with IE8 not displaying the editor is fixable by swapping the editor...

I have no issues displaying FCKEditor in IE8 in any mode, there must be sth wrong in your installation, please ensure, the web.config matches the release.config in this section. FTB3 is no longer supported, but there are commercial 3rd party editors with DNN providers, e.g. CuteEditor and RadEditor.
