Hi,

I upgraded my DNN 5.01 site to 5.1. The upgrade went well with no error and warning. Atfer the upgrade, I have 2 problems so far.

First, when I click login, I get the following error:

A critical error has occurred.
You have been redirected to this default Login Page because the Login Page set for this website does not contain a valid DotNetNuke Account Login module, or the permissions have not been set correctly.

The login page appear under the error message.

Second, when I click on Host`->Host Settings, I get the following error:

A critical error has occurred.
Data at the root level is invalid. Line 807, position 8.

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 807, position 8. ---> System.Xml.XmlException: Data at the root level is invalid. So I can't get the Host Settings page to manage my site Portal.

Something must be wrong somewhere in the database or in a config file. Someone have an idea of what could be wrong?

Thanks

Stefan,

the first error seems to be caused by a custom login page, which module did you use for login?

the second error seems to be caused by the language pack, do you experience the same after switching you langauge to English?

Thanks for your response

I don't remember having install a custom login module. How I can I see if I am using the default login page.

I can't access my Host Settings page in both language. I am getting the same error in French and in English.

I have access to the Host Settings table in SQL server.

Stefan,

check portals table in your database, LoginTab should be set to Null.

Regarding your host settings you need to compare content of HostSettings table with a blank install if there is an entry missing or misconfigured, same for versions table.

Good Luck

Thanks

I fixed the login tab.

But not the second problem to access my Host Settings page.

I compared the table and in my deffective sites I have a couple of extra rows related to Defaut Skin for admin and portal. Could it be something with the skin?

I am using Aerogreen skin. It could be incompatible with version 5.1 of Dotnetnuke?
