I would like to use DNN to provide multisite ecommerce sites that are branded for the vendor.  Basically, I have a brick and mortar business and I'd like to provide a service that allows people to have their own website that accesses my inventory.  Sort of like cafepress.com but not exactly.

Is this possibe with DNN?

Hello,

probably I would use child portals for each vendors. I am not 100% sure, but maybe the e-commerce from Catalook had a feature for having small sub-sites for vendors? Again, I'm not sure. Look into their website.

Another way, could be modifing the source code and workflow of a current e-commerce module for DNN.

I haven't seen one that is integrated this way into the module, but I would think Catalook could handle this with child portals.

Hi Peter,

We built a solution to this with our catalog server module set, where you can share a product inventory among many websites, either as child portals or as separate dnn instances.  You can see more about this product Here.
