Hi guys,

I am trying to customise/extend the standard HTML module that comes with DNN 4.09.04. I want to change the look (rounded corners and apply some custom css). But mor importantly, I need to customise the functionality. I require it to have a title, summary section, image place holder and a container (with rounded corners) within that contains extended content.

I am well versed in ASP.net, but not so much in DNN. I want to know if it is posssible to do this without rewriting the whole HTML module ?

Hello,

having the rounded corners is just a matter of .css and some html. If you need the container to have rounded corners, just create a new container. Here you can see how to have rounded corners, with really nice effects:

You can google for more examples.

For the fields you need, if you have asp.net knowledge, I would just add the fields to the HTML table, adjust SP, adjust sqldataprovider, adjust info/controller, add the field into the html .ascx pages, and make the .vb code pages to handle them. It's not too difficult if you know asp.net and vb. No need to re-write the module, just to add some parts to it.

Hope that helps.
