Hi Andrew,

I am using the reports module to display few charts. I found in some threads that installing ZedGraphs would solve my problem. After installing the ZedGraphs and adding it ,i was able to run the query and display it using the chart visualizer. But it gives me option to only display in the Bar Graph format. How do i get it to display in the Pie Chart format. In the ZepGraphswiki they have given a example to display by calling a example function from the onLoad event. But thats where i lost track, can u please help as to what i need to do from this point on. Which onLoad event are they talking about.

Thanks,

Amith S

As you observed, the Chart Visualizer provided with the Reports Module only supports Bar and Column Charts.  However, it should be relatively easy to adjust.

The main work of the Chart Visualizer occurs in the Chart Image Manager (I don't have the source in front of my ATM, so I'm not 100% sure on the file name, but it's in DesktopModules/Reports/Visualizers/Chart, after the Source version of the Chart Visualizer has been installed).  The Reports Module doesn't quite use the standard ZedGraph stuff, but the general ideas is that the Chart Image Manager produces the chart image, and saves it to a file on disk (as a caching mechanism).  Then, the Chart Visualzier renders that image to the screen.

Hopefully that can give you a place to start looking.  Please don't hesitate to post to this thread again if you need more help!

I am having a similar problem. I am trying to load a Pie Chart to a ASCX control to be displayed on DotnetNuke using ReportViewer. I am not sure how to do it. Can any one of you please tell me the steps on how i should implement the feature to display Bar graph and pie charts on DNN.
