Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows how to stop DNN displaying those little blue question marks all over the place. There seem to be some modules that display them even to anonymous users and I don't want them showing at all.

Thanks for any hints,

Rob

They drive me mad too - so I replaced them with a 1x1px clear gif - renamed it help.gif and dropped into the images folder in the root directory.

Log in as host and go to Host settings / Advanced settings / Other settings at the very bottom uncheck the box marked enable module online help.

This will get rid of the little question mark.  It will still be visible to the host and admin users though I believe.

Cheers,

Same here Nina, the transparent gif has been the only option I had too.

I was also pretty sure I had tried all combinations of those help settings to no avail, but Paul, you may have hit on the solution.. perhaps I needed to log out to see them vanish. I'll try that out now...

hmm, nope that tickbox is still unticked from when I first tried doing this way back. That one is for disabling access to the equally awful online DNN help from the module menus... and yes, that one only takes affect for non-admin/host users.

I'll have a dig around in the code and I'll report back here if I can figure out a way to kill the icons.

Regards,
Rob
