John, thanks for the explanation, this has come up a few times today. I'd appreciate it if you can validate it with your support team and amend any email messages.

Brad, I've unmoderated your user account as I recognise your name from the SQL MVP lists.

Brian, I simply quoted the number of downloads from codeplex - in this case i believe Brad was doing an install and not an upgrade. Aside from anything this massively understates the number of installs/upgrades as most hosting providers such as PowerDNN use a single install across many customers, as do most developers/system integrators.

You are right about that I downloaded once and installed + upgrade = 14. DNN 5 is just so much better than 4.xx versions. 5.0 had many bugs and I still chose to use it despite warning from DNN Team with 5.0.1 it got a lot better and 5.1 is awesome. I see a very few minor issues then again tell me one software that is bug free. I would highly recommend using DNN 5.1. I am loving it some of the GUI improvements are too hard to ignore. Thanks too DNN Team.
