When installing the latest version of DNN (05.01.00) locally, I get this install error:

Upgrading Database to Version 05.01.00...FAILURE 400 - Access to the path 'C:\DotNetNukeSites\RealEstateInstitute\Install\Cleanup\03.00.08.txt' is denied.

Just prior to this error and notes the 5.00.00 and 5.00.01 installed successfully.

I'm installing on XP  - and set my root folder ASP.NET permissions to Full Control - and it looks like it is also applied to the CleanUp directory.

Any clues on what I am doing incorreectly or missing?

I got this same error during an upgrade from 4.9.4 to 5.1.1. The install seems to be working fine but I'm guessing there are probably a lot of files out there that should have been cleaned up but weren't. Is there anything I need to do? Anyway to run the script manually?

Me too, permissions are all fine, asp.net has full control of root and all child folders and files. Impersonate is off.

Another buggy version 5..I tried v5 2 months ago but also failed, may have to wait another 2 months before I give it another try.

Hi Guys,

 

Just an update to this. I didn't give the Network Service account full access to all folders. This was preventing a clean uprade.
